The famous tar products were produced as early as in the 19th century. The methods of production have improved since then but the genuine, domestic pine tar is still used today as raw material, giving the tar soap itīs characteristic scent and color.

Even centuries ago the tar was known for itīs superior qualities, the mild antiseptic effect, to mention but one. The tar is gentle to the skin and many psoriasis patients have noticed that regular use of tarsoap and tar shampoo soothes the skin symptoms.
